Q & A
Q1:Will pet be afraid of vacuum noise?
No if operated properly. There have strong vacuum noise in grooming shop and pets can keep calm there, this means noise itself is not a problem. If your pet can furtherly keep calm when you vacuum home, you can use our tool for vacuum grooming. If your pet always run away when you vacuum home, like 2nd cat in video 8, better not buy at this moment and wait until your pet become brave enough.
No matter brave or sensitive pet, if you lead them to place and install vacuum grooming tool in their face, when they are watching with curious you turn on vacuum, then most pets can run away.
So please always start vacuum cleaner in advance, then install bridge hose and vacuum grooming tool, give enough time for your pets to accept vacuum noise, as they are in grooming shop, or as you are vacuuming home as usual, then you lead them to place for grooming. Once when they keep calm in vacuum noise, you will find grooming become as easy as fondling pet body, and all loose hair goes into vacuum cleaner in the process, there no longer have so much loose hair to scatter around.
Q2: What pet is the best for this tool, is it good for cat?
Dog is the best, especially large and medium sized dogs, since they are more easy to keep calm against vacuum noise.
As for cat, it depends how sensitive it is, and how close it feels with you. Please refer to video 8, old cat in the first section enjoys a lot, but its owner does not have our vacuum grooming tool, since this tool is an innovative product, very few similar products available in the market.
The 2nd small cat is so sensitive, no doubtedly it is still not a good time for it to use our tool.
Please turn on on vacuum to test your cat, and remember to turn on vac in advance in a place far away from cat, if your cat run away immediately, better not to buy. If it does not care at all, you can take it close to vacuum, if it still keeps calm, then we think you can use our tool and will find how helpful it is.
Let me repeat: NEVER hold cat in arms before turning on vacuum cleaner. If cat scared in your arms, its sharp paws can make hurt!
And, a lot cats are alert against strangers, in order to avoid cat attack, please do not let other people vacuum grooming your pet.
Q3: Can this tool de-matt?
No. It is only for de-shedding. Before using our tool, please make sure there have no knots inside fur coat of your pet.
Q4: Can this tool work on wet fur?
No. Firstly because there maybe there have knots inside wet coat, grooming on knot can cause harm to pet. Secondly regular vacuum can not pick up water, wet hair into vacuum can damage motor, and thirdly wet fur coat adheres to pet skin, comb teeth can reach hair root and take off some healthy hair if groomed hardly.
Please always use this tool on dry fur coat, since less adher force between every single hair, loose hair can float on the surface of fur coat, a slight sweeping on the top surface of fur coat will take off all loose hair there, and large amount of loose hair.
Q5: Will this tool cut hair?
No. There have no sharp edges on our tool, it can not cut hair.
If clipping as in barber shop, hair on comb teeth should be quite short, and hair on both sides of comb teeth should be in difference length. In your first try , before turning comb to let loose hair go with wind, you will see loose hair on our teeth are long and in equal length over comb teeth, not cut off.
Q6: Then why does this tool work?
We use friction force to de-shed.
Loose hair freshly fall off from hair follicle will not shed away immediately, since it will be fixed in place by surrounding healthy hair through friction force. When pet walks around, this loose hair will move to top surface of fur coat step by step, more and more portion of this loose hair will lay on the coat surface, friction from surrounding healthy hair become less, finally it can shed away when pet body hit other places, like sofa, bed or sweater etc., since friction force from these objects is stronger than force from fur coat.
Our comb teeth is ground with matt surface, tiny burrs in this surface can deliver more friction force to loose hair, so our comb can take off more loose hair.
Q7: Will this comb take off healthy hair while de-deshedding loose hair?
No if operated in correct method.
Correct method is to sweep comb teeth through top surface of fur coat, do not press comb teeth hardly into pet skin, and groom in the direction of fur growth, stroke from head to tail, so matt surface of comb teeth mainly work on loose hair lying above fur coat. For healthy hair, only top tip will contact comb teeth, so it will not get excessive friction force and will get no harm.
Our comb teeth height is only 3mm, if you do not press comb teeth hardly to pet skin, it will not contact a lot trunk of healthy hair and will make no harm.
Only loose hair above fur coat can shed away. For those fresh loose hair just come out from follicle, it will not shed away and we can wait until it moves to fur coat top.
Q8: Is there any typical wrong operation which can do harm to healthy hair?
Yes, for example if you open fur coat, press our comb teeth on pet skin and work on the deep root of healthy hair, very probably it will take off some healthy hair. Since all friction force will be loaded on hair root by this combing method.
If you comb from pet belly to back, in a direction perpendicular to hair growth, comb teeth will contact loose hair and a lot trunk of healthy hair in the same time, if comb very hardly, it is also possible to take off some healthy hair.
If only sweeping top surface of fur coat, comb teeth will only contact loose hair, and tip of healthy hair, so it will not make harm.
Q9: Why friction force of comb teeth only take off loose hair, not healthy hair?
Some loose hair can tangle on comb teeth, and will go with suction wind when our comb teeth swung internally, this means friction force is weaker than wind force. If comb teeth ensured sweeping over fur coat only, not reach hair trunk and not load too much friction on hair trunk, then there have no chance to hurt healthy hair.
Q10: My pet body is very large, or very small, your comb has only one size, will it work on my pet?
Yes. Our comb blade is 60mm wide, just the same as regular medium comb, so it can fit pet size widely.
Back of pet body is not flat, pet belly shape also not always flat, two ends of extra wide comb often does not rest on pet body, so our comb size is enough.
Q11: How often shall I use this tool, and how long for each action?
Once or twice a week will be enough. Time for each action depends on pet size. General idea is each place only comb one time, no need to repeat in the same place. You will be amazed by the amount of loose hair going to your vacuum cleaner.
Q12: Is there any vacuum cleaner can not fit this tool?
Yes there have.
1. Normally rechargeable vacuum does not have flexible hose, airflow channel not in cylindrial shape, so it can not fit our tool. Like Electrolux ZB2941.
2. Rechargeable vacuum like Dyson DC45, DC62, DC74, V6 and similar have no flexible hose, but have cylindrial airflow channel, it can fit with out tool through our own adaptor, but you must keep on pressing switch of these vacuums to make them work, consumer's two hands can not work on our tool and vac switch in the same time, so these models also not good for us.
3. Vorwerk 130/135 or similar do not have flexible hose, and airflow channel not in cylindrical shape, they can not fid out tool.
